Photoluminescence diagnostic method with transmission illumination
Kafka, Martin ; Veselý, Aleš (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is an innovation of photoluminescence measure research workplace for measurement of cells structure defects by method of transmissive illumination while employing the current methods of measurement of defect in the solar cells structure. The first part deals with explanation of historical development of solar energy, of how we can reach production of electric power with contribution of solar radiation and defines usability of solar cells in practice. The thesis further analyses a practical application of measurement via laboratory diagnostic methods used by Department of Electrotechnology Brno University of Technology. The second part is focused on mechanical design of experimental photoluminescence measure workspace used for quick diagnostic defects employing the rear arousing source for detection of defects with assistance of transmissive system of illumination. Finally, with co-operation of SOLARTEC s.r.o. three types of solar cells are measured by this new method and compared with results of measurement via diagnostic methods of LBIV (Light Beam Induced Current), LBIC (Light Beam Induced Voltage), Electroluminescence, Photoluminescence, and detection defects by radiation of Microplasma.
Small photovoltaic system
Just, Jan ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes the fotovoltaics at the present time. Introduction includes information regarding to resources of solar energy, main principle of transformation solar energy to electrical and history. Next parts summarise types of solar cells in economical term, types of material and description of their properties. Thesis includes the construction of fotovoltaic panel and its configuration to fotovoltaic systems with or without connection to electrical power network, contains convenient technologies for improving efficiency and the czech legislation. Final part focuses on designing grid-on system for real object including komplex study of object location, used components and calculation of whole produced electric energy and pay-back time. The main aims are presented in conclusion as well as advantages and disadvantages of the investment.
Preparation and properties of thin layers of conjugated polyelectrolytes
Slunečková, Veronika ; Vohlídal, Jiří (advisor) ; Svoboda, Jan (referee)
The study shows strong influence of the conformation of the main chains of polythiophenes in solutions on their spectroscopic properties. The conformational changes affect strength of interactions between neighboring chains and lead to the formation of aggregates of stacked polythiophene chains. Stacked chains show red shift of the optical absorption and lead to visible vibronic structure of absorption bands. Multilayered systems prepared by periodic adsorption of the cationic and anionic polythiophene polyelectrolytes on various substrates show proportionality of the overall layer thickness to the number of coatings, which allows a control of the layer thickness. Adsorption of the conjugated polyelectrolytes on the anatase form of titanium dioxide show better penetration of the anionic polythiophene to porous anatase. The adsorption of polymer into the mesoporous structure is not complete: maximum adsorption of PTTA (poly(thiophene-3-ylacetic acid)) adsorbed on anatase do not correspond to the inner surface of mesoporous anatase. Alternating adsorption from the solutions of polythiophene with anionic and cationic side groups on mesoporous anatase allows preparation of the Graetzel-like photovoltaic cell provided that the adsorption process starts with the anionic polythiophene and the layers are deposited...
